.. So why do we continue to do something even though we know its wrong? Ask yourself these questions;
• who taught you that it was right and fair to grow and harvest animals as food?
• where did their beliefs come from?
• is it necessary? the links above and todays vegans/ vegetarians prove it isn't.
• have you ever learned anything in your life that made you do something differently? .. eg before you learned this new knowledge? for example, would have you known how to do math if someone didn't teach you? If your answer is yes, then you have proved that its possible for us to learn something and change the way we perceived it before the "new knowledge"
• would YOU trade places with a factory farmed animal?
• would you allow your kids to be farmed like this?
Chances are, you know this is wrong. So why do we kill and eat animals? why not other humans?
• because animals won't or can't fight back?
• because they "look different?"
• because they don't speak our language? (or we don't speak their language)
• maybe its because we feel they are stupid?
by these "justifications" then maybe we should be harvesting the dumb childrens that cannot speak, or those that look different.
why do some cultures feel its ok to eat dogs and cats, cook them alive because they "taste better" but here, we feel thats absurd....
yet we feel its fine to eat cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits, sheep etc?
Why in India is the cow sacred, they cannot eat it but they CAN sacrifice it?
Many have not even been face to face with a live cow.... Did you know that they trust humans?
If you led a cow by a lead, it would follow you. Not too many fight this (those that do are forced with electric cattle prods) For the most part, they TRUST us.
Could YOU lead an animal to slaughter, then slice its throat, and dismember it while it bleeds to death in front of you, then eat its flesh?
What about your dog? It trusts you.. Could you lead your dog or cat to slaughter, kill it and eat it? What's the difference?
Could you slice its neck and then "justify" it because of some ancient text said that this is right?

.... Then why is it ok to pay someone else to do this for you?
The world has been here for not millions but BILLIONS of years and for the FIRST TIME in RECORDED HISTORY of MAN, we NOW have not only this knowledge but also the MEANS to BROADCAST and DISTRIBUTE this knowledge instantly, worldwide via the internet.
Even as little as 20 years ago, this simply was not possible. Broadcast were limited to big media companies and their content was / is overseen by a few with the money to show people what they want them to see.
Why? it all comes down to money. If you had a large cattle ranch that has been past down from generation to generation which generated millions of dollars in revenues each year, you too would want to protect this income stream at any cost.
but we cannot put money as our highest value.
Factory farming is the worlds largest contributor to Co2 emissions leading to Global Warming.. this is the cause of all the "freak storms" we see today which are now "normal"
it takes 25 times as much land to grow crops to feed animals, of which only 35% of the animal makes it back to the tables of humans. Very inefficient model to feed a growing population.

it takes 2500 gallons of water to "produce" 1lb of "meat"
750 gallons of water = 1 quart of milk
55sf of rainforest, that took 100's of years to grow = One Quarter LB meat pattie
the amount of energy is takes to make that same 1/4lb patty can power a large SUV over 400 miles.
we lose 65 acres of rainforests every minute of every day due to the "requirements" of factory farming... 10 years ago it was estimated that we had less than 50 years of rainforests left on earth.
STOP WORLD FAMINE! ... the crops used to feed animals could be used to feed starving people around the world.
...when we stop eating animals, we save our health, ecology, world famine and unimaginable cruelty all at once. It's the most "bang for the buck" anyone could do. far better than riding a bicycle to work or buying a hybrid car.
... So now you are upset at me because "I force my views on you" I preach.. "YOU don't tell anyone else what to do" right?
.....it's not me you are upset with. These are not "my views" or my agenda" I have no monetary gain from writing this. This is the truth. I did not make it up.
.. it's your conscience awakening. Most of us know right from wrong. I'm just the messenger.
