God wants you to be a Vegetarian
The world has been around for billions of years, yet we live in this exciting time. For the FIRST TIME in the RECORDED HISTORY of MANKIND we now have the ability to share knowledge around the planet, freely, instantly and inexpensively!

.. So why do we continue to do something even though we know its wrong? Ask yourself these questions;
• who taught you that it was right and fair to grow and harvest animals as food?
• where did their beliefs come from?
• is it necessary? the links above and todays vegans/ vegetarians prove it isn't.
• have you ever learned anything in your life that made you do something differently? .. eg before you learned this new knowledge? for example, would have you known how to do math if someone didn't teach you? If your answer is yes, then you have proved that its possible for us to learn something and change the way we perceived it before the "new knowledge"
• would YOU trade places with a factory farmed animal?
• would you allow your kids to be farmed like this?
• because animals won't or can't fight back?
• because they "look different?"
• because they don't speak our language? (or we don't speak their language)
• maybe its because we feel they are stupid?
by these "justifications" then maybe we should be harvesting the dumb childrens that cannot speak, or those that look different.
why do some cultures feel its ok to eat dogs and cats, cook them alive because they "taste better" but here, we feel thats absurd....
yet we feel its fine to eat cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits, sheep etc?
Why in India is the cow sacred, they cannot eat it but they CAN sacrifice it?
Many have not even been face to face with a live cow.... Did you know that they trust humans?
If you led a cow by a lead, it would follow you. Not too many fight this (those that do are forced with electric cattle prods) For the most part, they TRUST us.
Could YOU lead an animal to slaughter, then slice its throat, and dismember it while it bleeds to death in front of you, then eat its flesh?
What about your dog? It trusts you.. Could you lead your dog or cat to slaughter, kill it and eat it? What's the difference?
Could you slice its neck and then "justify" it because of some ancient text said that this is right?
The Ancient Mayans used to toss their first born baby to the "Volcano Gods" to "ensure a good harvest for the coming years"
Devout Jews still to this day swing chickens over their heads and smash them down on tables for "financial gain".. they DO this IN FRONT OF THEIR CHILDREN - to PERPETUATE HISTORY!
Muslims TODAY -- in 2014 "celebrate" Eid Al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice)
but if you think thats crazy, here in north america, we have "PIGFEST!" -- Festival of Slaughtered Pigs
Do you not see the connection? Do you not think there is something wrong with this?
.... Then why is it ok to pay someone else to do this for you?
The world has been here for not millions but BILLIONS of years and for the FIRST TIME in RECORDED HISTORY of MAN, we NOW have not only this knowledge but also the MEANS to BROADCAST and DISTRIBUTE this knowledge instantly, worldwide via the internet.
Even as little as 20 years ago, this simply was not possible. Broadcast were limited to big media companies and their content was / is overseen by a few with the money to show people what they want them to see.
Why? it all comes down to money. If you had a large cattle ranch that has been past down from generation to generation which generated millions of dollars in revenues each year, you too would want to protect this income stream at any cost.
but we cannot put money as our highest value.
Factory farming is the worlds largest contributor to Co2 emissions leading to Global Warming.. this is the cause of all the "freak storms" we see today which are now "normal"
it takes 25 times as much land to grow crops to feed animals, of which only 35% of the animal makes it back to the tables of humans. Very inefficient model to feed a growing population.

it takes 2500 gallons of water to "produce" 1lb of "meat"
750 gallons of water = 1 quart of milk
55sf of rainforest, that took 100's of years to grow = One Quarter LB meat pattie
the amount of energy is takes to make that same 1/4lb patty can power a large SUV over 400 miles.
we lose 65 acres of rainforests every minute of every day due to the "requirements" of factory farming... 10 years ago it was estimated that we had less than 50 years of rainforests left on earth.
STOP WORLD FAMINE! ... the crops used to feed animals could be used to feed starving people around the world.
...when we stop eating animals, we save our health, ecology, world famine and unimaginable cruelty all at once. It's the most "bang for the buck" anyone could do. far better than riding a bicycle to work or buying a hybrid car.
... So now you are upset at me because "I force my views on you" I preach.. "YOU don't tell anyone else what to do" right?
.....it's not me you are upset with. These are not "my views" or my agenda" I have no monetary gain from writing this. This is the truth. I did not make it up.
.. it's your conscience awakening. Most of us know right from wrong. I'm just the messenger.

proud to be a Canadian where we have the highest taxes AND the seal hunt!
please see attached letter...
last year, I wrote our government about the seal hunt as well. I got the exact same stock letter as this year!
our government doesn't give a shit about the seal hunt, nor the message that it sends to the rest of the world. They even go so far as to say it's "safe" and "humane"....
who writes the stock letters anyway? have they ever been there to witness the seal hunt for themselves? It's neither safe nor humane!
this letter is supposedly coming from one of our elected officials, although it is highly unlikely that he reads either incoming or outgoing mail at all.
They say they are worried about the sealers livelihoods yet an individual sealer can only make 1000 $2000 from this deed each season. If that's all they have to base their income on, they are better off to go on welfare like the rest of Canada.
the European Union has banned the import of steel products! In fact the Canadian government even went so far as to attempt to introduced seal products at the Olympics! luckily however, are Olympic committee did not agree with that, nor would the athletes agree to wearing any of the "products" or even using the Olympics as a basis to promote this.
yet I still read comments on boards of people who really don't give a shit about it.
all I have to say is -- OBLIVIOUS!

What if MEAT had to have WARNING LABELS?
I hope that in future, MEAT will have to have the same type of warning labels that cigarettes now have to come with.
Not only they should depict the harm eating meat can do to people, but also the destruction of the earth as a whole.
- the destruction of the rain forests
- the misuse of land
- pollution to our water supply
- the Co2 emissions caused by factory farming
- the raking of the seas of all life
what if MEAT had to come with pictures of the animals that the piece of MEAT once was?

Mass pig slaughter going on in Egypt right now. SO lets get this straight, if the pig lives, it gets slaughtered.2) the pigs might, or might not, have "pig pandemic" -- they get slaughtered anyway, just in case.then they say they want to keep the meat frozen..... that will just freeze any bacteria on it to be revived later -- (likely just when we think this Swine Flu is over) either way, it SUCKS if you're a pig. point is HUMANS SHOULDN'T BE EATING MEAT IN THE FIRST PLACE. this is why its hard for the general population to grasp -- even as I write this, and you read it, there are hundreds of thousands of animals, right this second, being ripped apart - generally still alive - while the rest of the herds can do nothing but sit and wait for their turn! its worst than a horror show! if general population was subject to this every day, there would be no animal consumption to speak of. its because when we look out our windows, we don't see this -- all we see is our day and what we need to do today - things that are apparently imminent - in our faces daily. Only a few farmers, representing a very small portion of the population are privy to these daily rituals - those that are hardened to it, brought up that way, apparently know no different. farmers and fishermen say, "why should we change? It was the way of our fathers and grandfathers and forefathers before that!" My question would be, "why shouldn't they change?" As we know, businesses change and morph daily. Some businesses go out of existence altogether, those that are simply not necessary in today's day and age. For instance, we don't see the shoe cobbler anymore, or the milkman coming to the door or the breadman, or the guy that used to make horse whips! and look at the auto industry! They go out of business, they change their ways, they set up new businesses. We are in living in an electronics era when information is king! Knowledge is passed today like the blinking of an eye around the world! Never before in the history of the planet as we know it, have humans had such access to such vast fields of information worldwide! I can understand why our forefathers were set in their ways, but for us to be able to see this big picture today and not do anything about? This is our problem. Look how smoking was viewed only some 20 years ago! It was kewl, it was hip, everyone was doing it! They even allowed it to be advertised and broadcast! Today, as most of us know, smoking is a taboo that is not good for us, people around us or the environment! So much so that governments have gone as far as banning advertising, not allowing smoking in public places, not even in your car -- especially where children (and adults) would be subject to secondhand smoke! I think (I hope) that the meat industry will also be viewed this way. It's not good for anybody! It's not good for the person that consumes it, not good for the environment, and certainly not good for the animals. The resistance to change in the meat industry is clearly one of financial dominance. There is no scientific reason the humans need animal meat to survive. No one has ever starved from being on a vegetarian diet and in fact humans do very well without it. If anyone doubts this please research Bill Pearl.
The process of killing animals has become such a huge business -- no longer is it the small family farm on the back roads -- now they are factories killing some 400 animals per hour! (That's just cattle!) And there are thousands of these so-called factory farms set up all over the planet! The sheer number and volumes of animals needed to supply these factories is daunting! Thousands upon thousands of animals are required to feed the lines! Millions of acres around the world are needed to house the animals before they are ready for slaughter. Around the world, this equates to 65 acres of rain forests and being chopped down every minute of every day! The rain Forest act like the liver of the earth filtering out toxins and pollutants that we constantly pump into it! Two thirds of the "Earth's natural liver" is already going! This happened apparently over the last 50 years! It is estimated that in another 50 years there will be no rain forests to speak of! Meanwhile the pollutants are going up while the Earth's ability to filter it is going down. This is the results of the comprehensive study completed by the United Nations! In simple terms this means you get more bang for the buck, so to speak, if you stop eating meat than you would if you stop driving your car all together. John Deer" (about halfway down on the right hand side) it's about 15 minutes long but well worth a listen -- especially if you haven't been to church and while.
